FAQ's

CAN WE MEET BEFORE WE DECIDE IF WE WOULD LIKE TO BOOK YOU OR NOT?

Absolutely, I am more than happy to meet with you in person prior to booking. I do ask that we meet me in or around Brighton, otherwise I can call couples that live outside of Sussex.

DO YOU WORK ALONE OR WITH AN ASSISTANT?

Generally I work alone and cover bridal and groom prep if locations are relatively close to each other.

DO YOU DO ENGAGEMENT/PRE-WEDDING SHOOTS?

I do. Engagement/Pre-wedding shoots are a great way to practice for the big day and help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. They are included in my full day package. It is a great way for us to get to know each other as well as chat about your upcoming wedding. Couples that have engagement shoots are much more relaxed and prepared on their wedding day as they know what to expect. Candid and natural moments are key and it’s about getting you to focus on each other and forget I am there.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PHOTOGRAPHY QUALIFICATIONS?

Yes. I have a Foundation, Degree and Masters in Photography. I enjoy learning new skills and trying new approaches to photography so I am always trying to pick up tips from fellow photographers. I have been photographing for more than 15 years.

CAN I GET MY PHOTOGRAPHS ON A USB AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Yes, you will receive all of your images on a USB. All images will be edited individually with no batch processing, they will be high resolution and un-watermarked. You will also have the rights to use/print your images as you please. There will be no additional cost for minor Photoshop touch ups, e.g. spot removal. Editing takes an average 3-4 weeks.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

I shoot with the latest, high-end professional digital cameras and lenses. Your photographs will look technically amazing due to the high resolution, and you will be able to print them very large if you require. I always carry two cameras and extra lenses with me.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL YOU TAKE?

It depends on the amount of hours booked, anything between 500 to 800 images for a 10/11 hour wedding.

HAVE YOU SHOT AT THE VENUE BEFORE?

I try to visit a venue prior to a wedding, although its not always possible. I will always arrive early on the wedding day (1+ hours beforehand) to scout out locations and places for shots, if possible we can meet at the venue to discuss your ideas.

DO YOU DO FORMAL FAMILY PICS?

I can do some traditional and family shots if required. I ask couples for their input and opinions and will ensure I do family shots in the best locations. I ask formal portraits to be kept to a minimum and will require a list of names prior to the wedding. You will need to appoint someone in your wedding party to find the family members. Due to time restrictions there is usually a maximum of around 8-10 family combinations.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL?

In the unlikely event I am ill, I will find you a replacement photographer.

HOW LONG WILL YOU STAY?

For my full wedding package I will cover your bridal preparations in the morning right up until the end of the day.

HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?

I ask for 50% of the total price. If I have not heard back from you within 7 days, I will assume you no longer want to book and I will pass the date on to another couple. The balance needs to be paid on the 1st of the month prior to your wedding. Alternatively you can pay in full upon booking. I get booked up in advance, especially  with weekend weddings, so please get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

The photographs are absolutely brilliant, we love the way they show the story of the day beginning in the morning at home and ending after the last dance. Thanks for all of the effort and hard work you put in on the day, and for all of the editing and getting the images to us so fast.
